Macau - Here we come

Macau 13/14 October 2007 - Here we come!

The reason why we chose to go Macau is that we thought we can buy lots of stuff at very cheap prices.. and we are not that kind that likes ruins, architecture.. We are terribly wrong. Macau is really a CASINO city. The whole place is full of casinos and there is only 1 shopping centre, i.e. New Yao Han! But the redeeming thing is the Venetian Macau Resort - Asia's largest single resort offering world class entertainment, state of art meeting facilities, suite accommodation, exquisite shopping and dining all under 1 roof. Service however needs lots of improvement.

Presenting Our Bella Suite...

Our double beds and the entire suite

A private business area that comes with the latest fax machine and free internet access. It really made KL's day. There is also an LCD 42" TV in front of our double beds.

Hong Kong Disneyland - Here we come!

Disneyland Hong Kong - 12 October 2007
This is the smallest Disneyland, with just 4 themed lands - Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland. We have heard lots of critisms so we went with low expectations. But it wasnt too bad for kids and I still enjoyed the trip though I have been to the ones in Paris and Tokyo.

Hong Kong Trip

Hong Kong Trip Part 2 (12 October 2007)

We went to the shopping centre at Harbour City. They have a 360 supermarket which is pretty upclass, very similar to Market Place at Raffles City. Things are expensive there. The wanton noodles costs S$7 plus there!

After our brunch there, we took the MTR to Sunny Bay before changing to the Disney Line to Disneyland. The MTR ride is very enjoyable. We are so excited to see Mickey Mouse shaped windows and handles on the train.

Hong Kong Trip Part 1 (11 October 2007)

This is Alden's first trip overseas to Hong Kong. He was extremely excited that he can finally visit his 'Disney Castle'. We decided the 3 hours flight should be just right for him.

Playing at Paragon

After visiting my sister-in-law at Mount E, we decided to window shop at Paragon. The place is really upscale and for the ultra rich.. Even the fifth floor that is dedicated to children's stuff are full of branded goods. Expensive! But there is 1 nice playground which is clean and well maintain..

Arienne at 10th month

According to BabyCentre, a baby at 10th month first week will do the following:
  1. She's experimenting with new sounds and stringing syllables together.

  2. She may spend fairly long stretches of time picking up and scrutinising each and every toy she lays her hands on.

  3. She may also stand, stoop, squat or walk while holding your hand -- but don't worry if she shows no sign of getting up on two feet yet.

Arienne, at 10th month first week, is already

  1. Learning to stand or rather climb anything she can get hold on,

  2. Say 'bear', 'ma','bye bye', 'gai gai',

  3. Pinch my 2nd sister when she doesnt want her to carry her,

  4. Scream when she doesnt get her way or things that she wants,

  5. Fight with brother over toys.
My mother calls her 'Chia Cha Bo'. Hee hee, she probably gets this gene from her mum..
